Individual e-Banking
General Information
The application provides creation of banking/financial services and information exchange front-end systems with 24/7 availability. Verax eBanking Suite consists of GUI components which may be customized in accordance to particular requirements or standards of a bank. It is also a secure communication bus for transaction systems. The system is built in order to customize the application logic to the customers' needs. The Verax eBanking Suite for individual banking includes, among others, the following functionalities:
- Extended logging and secure communication,
- Account, money transfer and deposit service,
- Historical data visualization,
- Data export to CSV and PDF,
- Integration with PDF forms,
- Data filtering.
The application for individual banking lays the emphasis on the user support. This is achieved by an interactive help system, not only containing help text messages, but also displaying animation (supported by voice instructions) without interrupting the operation of the application.

Account migration tool
General Information
Verax eBanking Suite migration tools allow the customers to easily migrate the history of e-banking accounts between various banks. The history includes primarily recipient data and defined transfers.
How does it work?
On the customer side the application can be installed as a desktop application or be integrated directly with a website in the ActiveX technology. In order to move the history of an account the user should perform the following steps:
- Export the history of the original account to a file.
- Open the file in the Verax eBanking Suite migration tool.
- Choose the elements to import.
- Import the result into the new account.
The whole application is a wizard with rich visualization tools, complex imported data check and error diagnostics. On the bank side the definition wizard is available. It allows to:
- Define or modify the input formats for various banks,
- Define the rules according to which the history files are to be processed into the internal format.
- Detect or determine the input file format: text, CSV, MT940 or OFX.
- Select file encodings such as UTF, Windows, etc.
- Set the file reading parameters: remove the initial/end line, process the headers, remove the quotation marks and apostrophes, and specify the field separators.
- Determine the filtering rules such as the choice of only those records that include the keyword "transfer" (it is possible to use logical conditions and regular expressions).
- Filter and assign the fields to the structure of the output file. It may also be enriched with rules.

Software token transaction authorization
Software tokens are used in Internet and mobile banking as a cost effective and relatively secure method of protecting online transactions. They are an alternative to SMS codes, vouchers/scratch cards or hardware tokens. In case of software tokens, authorization codes are generated by a piece of software delivered to clients, rather than a hardware unit (token).

Technology
The applications consist of client GUIs built in the Adobe™ Flex/AIR technologies that can be run within the web browser or from the desktop. Each application has a corresponding server side integration toolkit, allowing seamless integration with the existing back-end or middleware systems. For example, a rich desktop version can be an alternative to the older HTML/Ajax based systems. Such an approach allows for a clear migration strategy and gives the users a choice between the old and the new systems. It also gives the financial institutions an opportunity to expand their offer: conservative users can use the HTML interface and those more open may choose the advanced features of the RIA.
Web- or desktop-based?
The choice between browser and desktop is no longer an issue for the eBanking Suite applications. Due to use of
Adobe Flex and AIR technologies, all the applications can be run as Internet browser applications (running in the user's
web browser) or as applications installed on the desktop.
Desktop applications enable users with additional, productivity-oriented features such as:
- System tray notifications.
- Drag and drop: e.g. exporting account history as XLS or PDF directly to disk.
- Storing of select user data on local disk in order to improve performance.
The eBanking Suite applications retain all the benefits of the browser applications, such as:
- Internet based installation from a web browser.
- Automatic updates.
- Support of various operating systems (Windows, MacOS X and Linux).

All eBanking Suite server-side components are implemented three-tier Enterprise Java (J2EE) services and have been successfuly tested on a number of platofrms including:
- J2EE application servers: IBM WebSphere, Oracle, Sun, Apache Tomcat and JBOSS.
- Operating environments: IBM p Series (AIX or AS/400), Sun Solaris, Linux and Windows.
- Database systems: Oracle and IBM DB2.
All internet banking and stock trading applications: any browser capable of installing and running Macromedia Flash Player 9 or higher (web version) or operating system capable of running Adobe AIR (desktop version).
