KPI visualization
- Rich KPI visualization capabilities via a wide range of diagrams and analyses (e.g. pie charts, bars, tables, areas, 3D and more).
- Interactive drill-down of visualized data.
- Automatic calculation of trends and projections.

Data collection

- Built-in data warehouse and data collection ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) engine - an instrument that integrates data from various data sources such as databases, spreadsheets, text files, web services and others.
- Prepackaged KPI collection modules for various popular software packages such as SugarCRM or JIRA.
- Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) query language for access to built-in or external data warehouses.
Technology and system requirements
The KPI Dashboard has been implemented as a three-tier Java Enterprise application using Adobe Rich Internet technology as the front end.
Operating environment
KPI Dashboard has been tested in both open source and commercial application server environments including 32 and 64 bit versions of the following servers running on Windows XP, Vista, 7, RedHat Linux, CentOS, SuSE Linux, Sun Solaris and IBM AIX:
- Open source: Apache Tomcat and JBOSS.
- Commercial: IBM WebSphere, Oracle and Sun.

Databases
KPI Dashboard can use one of the following databases for storing the configuration data (KPI definitions, user accoutns, etc.):
- Open source: MySQL.

Data warehouses
In order to store KPI data (e.g. facts, dimensions), the KPI Dashboard can use one of the following databases (either directly utilizing data warehouse capabilities, or via SQL emulation):
- Open source: MySQL.
- Commercial: Oracle, IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server.

Data sources
KPI Dashboard can collect data into the data warehouse from a variety of sources including:
- Relational databases (JDBC-enabled) including Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, Informix, PostgreSQL and others.
- Files: Excel, CSV, XML, Microsoft Access, text files.
- User defined as a combination of file and scripts.

KPI Dashboard runs on any web browser supporting Adobe Flash technology version 9 or higher including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari and others.
KPI Dashboard is compatible with Adobe Flash-aware DMS systems such as Cisco Digital Media Suite.
