Acme Packet Net-Net monitoring and management plugin

Verax NMS Acme Packet Net-Net management plugin allows easy monitoring, alerting, health check, management and performance reporting of Acme Packet Net-Net 4250, 4500 and 9200 series session border controllers (SBCs). SNMP is used for communicating with the hardware.

General information view

The view presents general Net-Net SBC configuration information (model, firmware) along with basic performance and status information including:

• CPU utilization
• Memory utilization
• System health score
• Redundancy set
• Current system state
• NAT table utilization
• ARP table utilization
• Calls per second
• Global concurrent sessions
• Licensed sessions in progress

Advanced view

The view provides detailed hardware configuration for a Net-Net SBC including:

• Physical cards: name, type and status
• Power supplies: name, type and status
• Voltages: name, type, value (in Volts) and status
• Fans: name, type, value (in RPMs) and status

Performance view

The view provides detailed performance metrics for the server, including:

• CPU usage (total and per core)
• Memory usage (total and per core)
• Temperatures: main board, CPU and others available

Predefined Acme Packet Net-Net monitoring templates

The plugin contains predefined templates for most commonly monitored Acme Packet Net-Net SBC items. Most important, selected templates are provided in the table below (other, additional sensors and performance counters can be added by the user).

Performance counters and alarming

All the above parameters can be added as sensors/performance counters within Verax NMS and configured for alarming.
