Exalt ExploreAir monitoring and management plugin
Verax NMS Exalt ExploreAir management plugin allows easy monitoring, alerting, health check, management and performance reporting of Exalt ExploreAir series microwave radio platform equipment. SNMP and Exalt MIBs are used for communicating with the hardware.
General information view
The view provides high-level equipment information, such as:
- Hardware configuration information: name, firmware revision, TX/RX frequencies, local & remote radio names, uptime and boot version
- Local and remote radio status including: link status, link state, security state and radio temperature
Performance view
The view displays local and remote performance-related radio parameters such as:
- Current Bit-Error-Rate (BER)
- Received Signal Level (RSL): minimum, maximum and current
- Error duration (time since last error)
- TX and RX Ethernet throughputs (active, minimum and maximum)
Interfaces view
The view provides an inventory of all interfaces present in the system, along with detailed information for each interface including:
- Type (e.g. Ethernet CSMA/CD, loopback, etc.)
- Interface name in the system (e.g. eth0)
- Physical address
- Operational and administrative status
Predefined Exalt ExploreAir monitoring templates
The plugin contains predefined templates for most commonly monitored Exalt ExploreAir items. Most important, selected templates are provided in the table below (other, additional sensors and performance counters can be added by the user):

Performance counters and alarming
All the above parameters can be added as sensors/performance counters within Verax NMS and configured for alarming.
