Microsoft Exchange monitoring and management plugin
Verax NMS Microsoft Exchange management plugin enables easy monitoring, alerting, health check, management and performance reporting for Exchange servers. The plugin supports Exchange version 6 and higher. All communication with the server takes place over WMI protocol.
General information view

The view provides high level information about the managed Exchange server including:
- Computer name, software version and build number.
- Status of server components: services, cluster, CPU, memory, queues and disks.
- Runtime statistics: number of threads (MTA/RCP), mailbox sizes, maintenance mode status and reachable status.

Domain controllers' information
The view provides comprehensive information about each computer in the Exchange domain including its role (e.g. domain controller, configuration controller, global catalog, etc.), configuration type, LDAP port, synchronized status and availability status.
Mail queues
The view displays all queues on the server (e.g. SMTP, FailedMessageQueue, PreRoutingQueue) along with detailed information such as: status (running or stopped), link name, flags, number of messages in the queue, protocol name, size and virtual server/machine details.
The view allows graphical comparison of values of parameters for any queues selected.
Mailboxes
The view allows monitoring of individual mailboxes as well as their store statistics including:
- Total number of current and deleted messages in the mailbox.
- Details for the user associated with the mailbox: name, domain name, GUID, server, last login time and storage limit.
Services
The view displays detailed statistics for each of the Exchange services including:
- Message Transfer Agent
- Site Replication Service
- Address List Service
- Event Service
- Information Store Service

Public folders
The view provides a summary of each public folder along with the detailed usage/store statistics.
Cluster view
The view provides information on all hosts in the cluster, such as name, state, owner, host virtual or physical machine.
Connectors
The view provides a summary of all Exchange connectors (e.g. SNMP) along with information such as state (enabled/disabled, up/down), group DN, GUID and others.
Login statistics
The view displays a summary of Exchange session along with: client IP, client name, code page, connecting agent, user account, time, MAC address and others.
